No, that's not me rebuking anyone. It's Mark Twain's observation that experiencing life in another man's shoes indelibly changes our lives and values forever.

Our personal realities are the result of life in our corner of the world. We may think we understand it all as we sit in our comfortable chairs and hypothesize about the "bigger picture." We may even empathize through well written stories. Yet it is all theory until we get out of our chairs!
